We have started saving seeds from the garden, and I started sorting through my many….many seed packets ready for next year, throwing away any old ones and reorganising the ones to keep. I thought I would share what I do with tiny seeds such as cherry tomatoes.
I scoop out the seeds from a ripe cherry tomato into a fine sieve then give them a rinse to remove as much flesh as possible then lay them on a piece of kitchen paper towel to dry. Being so small, they stick to the paper so I just cut it into little pieces and plant the whole bit of paper. It, of course dissolves when wet, leaving the seeds in the compost to start germinating. Simple, and far less fiddly than trying to pick up and scatter seeds you can hardly see 👍
Hope that helps!
